We're talking about imaginary, not real concepts that don't exist in real life. Magic is not a real thing. You can't just go "Magic! Now you have a vagina instead of a dick." If you are present in the LGBT+ community, you will know that the term "cuntboy" has actually been mostly reclaimed. Unless you can make a suggestion that can properly replace this, that does not misrepresent what this is, it should stay. AMAB and AFAB don't come close to actually describing what these tags actually mean. They can be added, but they are different things. Just because a tomboy has masuline tendencies, does not mean she is AFAB. "Anything can be an insult with enough derogatory."

I have already stated some of my thoughts on this. I think create tag transgender +46 should be accepted as the defition. describe shemale withdrawn should be rejected as it is not a correct definition of the term either. describe cuntboy +90 should be accepted and remain it's own thing. I have only ever heard that the word is used as an insult but never actually heard the word used as an insult. As for newhalf, any word can be used as as an insult if you use it as an insult. The word 'man' is not inherently an insult, but is constantly used an one.

I disagree with this proposal for a few reasons: - Many, if not most, of the female-body-with-male-genitalia characters that are currently tagged as "shemale" are not intended to be interpreted as canonically transgender. Whether you agree with that intent, it is what it is. - How would we handle the "cuntboy" tag? Either it gets merged with this one or we have a confusing inconsistency. - How would we then be able to tag characters that are supposed to be literally transgender, like in the real-life sense of the word? I don't think there's a tag for that currently, but for the sake of future-proofing, I think we should avoid using real-life words for porn concepts that are only tangentially related. - Yes, the word "shemale" is offensive, but so is the implication that all trans people are just women with male genitals.

If newhalf is derogatory then I propose gynomorph. It's a tag used on e621 and defined as: "An intersex character with a feminine body type, penis / balls, breasts, but no vulva." That should cover exactly what the shemale tag currently covers.

Newhalf is just another slur so maybe not. The term shemale and the kind of porn it's used to tag is all just transfem fetishism, so using the term "transgender" is not wrong. The whole "what if they're intersex or something and not actually trans in the story" doesn't really matter, since the depiction is still fetishising transfem bodies. Though it also ought to be used on some "femboy" works as well, which would make it no longer useful for just its current use. So if you want to keep the current usage of the tag then I think it, futanari, and dickgirl should all be merged together and in their place you could create separate clarifying tags (i.e. "futa sans pussy" or something akin to it). I think it'd be much clearer and it's not like futa isn't currently used with works that feature a girl with no pussy either.

If we prefer Japanese terms, "newhalf" might be a good compromise. For future-proofing, there should be a way to differ between MtF and FtM (Maybe use "transgender" for AMAB characters and in the future make a "transgender male" tag for AFAB ones, since one has order of magnitudes more titles than the other?).

Renaming shemale to transgender is misrepresenting that the tag means. Shemale simply means a girl that has a penis, but no vagina. Unlike futanari which means a girl that has both a vagina and a penis. Dickgirl on the other hand does not specify whether a girl has a vagina or not. Transgender is very much not correct since no gender change surgery took place. Just because a character is a shemale does not mean they are transgender, they could have simple been born that way. Transgender is also not specific about what gender a character before or after a gender change.

Renaming the tag is fine because I agree, shemale is a derogatory outdated term. The renamed tag should reflect how this tag has been used in the past however and transgender does not do that. The shemale tag simply means: girl with a dick, balls and no vagina. This is in contrast to futanari which does have a vagina. Meanwhile dickgirl is an umbrella term that both shemale and futanari fall under. I'm not sure what a good new name would be but it should be distinct from futanari/dickgirl and it should better reflect the meaning of this tag than transgender would, because transgender is very inaccurate for how this tag has been used.

Yeah many of characters in the "Shemale" tag aren't even "shemale" or trans, just either dickgirls or futas who have existing tags, just rename it to trans/transgender or merge it into Genderbender.
