Shemale mean is male He has undergone gender reassignment surgery but still has male genitalia. Futanari mean a woman who have male and female genitalias

Partially bad description considering that all shemale content I've seen on this forum is on the gay side. They haven't become female, only have a female-like body with boobs.

Why not just "a female character with only a penis instead of a vagina"? It's not specific about how that character came to be like that, simply that a character exist that fits that description. It does not matter if they were born that way, if they are transgender, magic happened, it's just if they are present. The pregnant tag is an example of how I think it should be handled. It doesn't matter if they became pregnant in the gallery, if they were already pregnant, if they are having sex with someone, or if they are just masturbating. They are pregnant, that's it.

A better description would be "A character that has both female traits and male genitals but lacks a vagina". This easily covers the normal transgender characters through surgery or hormones but also anything done by magic. There are also a rare few doujins that have women being changed into shemales. Feminization is moreso the male transitioning into a female.

Big agree with the notion that "shemale" has to go

Shemale doesn't have to be born a male, their origin is up to the authors discretion. The tag only specifies that unlike a futanari, the shemale has no vagina.

Shemale in doujinshi and H is supposed to be a female character with only male genitalia. A suggestion would be that we can rename "shemale" to "dickgirl".

I think this should be rejected and a new proposal for " A female character with only a penis instead of a vagina" should be open. If a dickgirl tag is made, it should be for all dickgirls without being specific. I think describe futanari +6 should be changed since describe otokofutanari +22 is already a thing.

(Forgot to specify that of course a shemale should have a dick too, but maybe that's a given.)

I think "shemale" would be a pretty good tag even if can be considered rude. It's a simple word, and simple is good. Even so my guess is there would be a big overlap with "dickgirl". People would have problems differencing these. Anyway, maybe my view of what is to be considered dickgirls and shemales isn't what other people think? Or? To me a dickgirl have, yes, a dick, no vagina (that's futa), but then all female characteristics. With the body and facial structure being a woman's. Wide hips, round buttocks, narrow shoulders, soft jawlines. In that direction - there are athletic women with narrow hips and sharp cheekbones for example. But they shouldn't in general easily be mistaken for a man. I consider shemales to be more of a crossdressing male but that could be mistaken for a woman, especially with clothes on. I think curvy hips and an hour-glass shape should be a big no-no for example, as I consider that a female bone structure, low-level femininity. Even with a flat chest.

That description is of a transgender woman. Not all "shemale" characters on this site are transgender (probably most aren't, in fact), and in real life, many transgender women get genital surgery and therefore would not fit this site's usage of "shemale". It's also just generally considered rude.

The suggested description doesn't correlate with what you guys are describing in the comment so if this tag is to be kept, the description will have to be changed.

That's not the meaning of this tag. Shemale tag refers to a girl with male genitals and no vagina. You could also say a futa without a vagina. What she was before does not matter. It could be due to a transformation, it could be due to a transition, it could be she was just born like that, whatever you can come up with with hentai logic. That doesn't matter.
