Hey, @ranchdong a bit off-topic here, but can you make a link where all the withdrawn proposals are on display? And a setting where a withdrawn proposal name cannot be reopened by the same person? I'm looking at create tag focus armpits +11 (I'll take his alibi for now) in which there is potential for abuse where users can withdraw their silly/stupid proposals that were bombed with downvotes then put up new rehashed ones in the hope they don't get bombed this time around. Gotta nip this in the bud before anyone gets any weird ideas.

Taxonomy comment reports are deployed. I added a few mods as well which will prob start appearing. I plan to add more in the future, also fixed a few bugs. I'll check back in soon

Pls, im very sad to know that only Ranchdong that always work in this Taxonomy, i hope nHentai give more admin for Taxonomy section, so not only Rach that works, also this would be a nice way to make Taxonomy feels alive

Life been a bit hectic lately for me so I've not been able to invest as much time into championing taxonomy as I wanted too. Anyways I still have many things I want to do to improve taxonomy and GTS as a whole. I hope to share some updates in the coming weeks and move some these stuck suggestions!

Looking through the proposals there's a lot of stuff that's either not very important, irrelevant or just stupid. Lack of planning and organization leds to mess as people randomly make up suggestions based whatever comes to their head. Instead of waiting for votes, I'd recommend instantly approving and rejecting the most obvious cases and only leaving open proposals that actually need discussion

@HenryN987 Yea I feel the same way. The taxonomy system is starting to become a shit show and the tagging system does not really work that well on some doujins because alot of people tend to ignore the proposed tags.

with that being said its been 3 months innit I believe the amount of votes made it up for how clear this is, and I am not blaming the devs but this is taking kinda long

@Zedratuguir2 the oldest suggestions got the early boost and being in the trending tab makes them easily visible compared to the rest. I believe that once things progress on the backend, and moderators start resolving the easy stuff, the other suggestions will move up the ladder and the momentum will keep things going

It's amazing how there's +2000 voters but there is still suggestions tags that has near to 0 votes...

And if u want to promote your tag then do it on social media i.e, reddit, x, and other platforms

@vscode just think about the comments section it will explode, if others joins in to promote there own tag. It's not an appropriate practice.

Never thought of that stuff. U are right, I was just saying that Ranchdong don't have to focus on new tags and instead he should give priority to merge and rename category. and shared that I'm supporting him with this decision even if I'm one of those ppl who have created alot of new tags and waiting for approval. I'm just gonna remove my tags.

I would promote my tags as well, because I need to create 1 more, but aparently there's a limit to how many active suggestions there is and because there is some tags that are not being voted at all, but I don't think that's a good thing to do and so I wont promote my tags. Why? Just think of the others that are not being promoted by doing this. It's not exacly a fair competition and stuff, non ethical. And if we do promote our tags, the others have total right to do the same. Just imagine the comments full of other tags ADS... What I think it would be fair to have, it's in main suggestions page to have a tag being promoted of the day (on the side or something) and the tag can't be a +100 or +1000 votes on it to be even more fair. (Thinking about it, It's as if the people don't want to go vote on the tags that have super low votes or something...)

@ranchdong I have a quick suggestion for you. U should focus on rename and merge category more for approval instead of new or create category. Since it's easy to understand these rename,merge category can be done easily asap. If u are the only one who is managing everything then I'm sorry just do the most important work priority but if u have staff for gts backlog and taxonomy then u should have prioritize these to them. Since it's easier and faster then create and description change category. And I know I can wait for my new tags to be accepted all i did was created new tags and so I think there were so many unnecessary tags that doesn't have any value

I will have to be honest I think this is going to be something of a thing with all Fate Series characters because upon the release of Fate/Grand Order, the entire category system of the class names basically fell apart since there are so many characters within a class now (with the one exception of the playable Beast class)

also side note but I think artist descriptions should be treated differently from other tags. Instead of a normal description it should really just feature tags that the artist is known for/most commonly uses.

You know what would (In my opinion) be good? A recommendations space, with no judgment of tastes/tags of course. It does need to have a mod because of people that will for shure do something like call people names and other stuff. And it can also be in the community space. (Btw, that's just a suggestion.)

Still pending here. For context this requires a bit of a larger backend change so we don't get more that are coming in mistagged in the future. I'm also still considering how to approach renames and merges from search perspective.. having to index both the old and new tag isn't ideal but it really seems like the only way to avoid user confusion. Also people that have shielder bookmarked for example, they might think we just yeeted the whole tag when this is accepted. All that to say I still have some thinking todo for larger renames and merges such as this.

I want to merge this; but as mentioned before I have still have some larger back end changes to be done before I can, specifically we need to handle rewriting renamed / merged tags on future galleries that contain them. I will make a pass for this in the coming weeks. Thanks for your patience.

The correct term is play. Because if I'm not wrong, fate anime is smaller than the game part of fate and the games came first than the animes.

I also think that the "Archer" tag should be merged with "Shirou Emiya" tag. Why? Spoilers? No. The "Archer" here is actually (spoilers) "Emiya Shirou" but from the future, and there's also the "Archer from the future" Illya version (called Chloe/Kuroe). And the tag can be named "Shirou Emiya (Archer)" to differentiate, but it can't be like "Emiya (Archer)" because of the other version of him (called "Emiya Alter") and also because of his father, the servant "Emiya (Assassin)".

yes this has bothered Fate novel is 20+ years old and fate go is 10+ years old, i think we can safely say her "True" name.

The "spoilers" argument doesn't even work here, you literally find out that Mash is a Shielder during the tutorial. What would actually be a spoiler you only find out during Camelot, so no reason to not just use Mash here.
