should be called sugar dating then @Osamu09 but even then, if you just define sugar mommy as a role/archetype (which it is), the relationship dynamic itself is implied or inherently existent

I think this can simply be resolved by using "sugar mommy" as a setting rather than a character type, that's how I was viewing it

desc says that a "sugar mommy refers to a younger character RECEIVING xyz" (paraphrased). in actuality, a sugar mommy refers to an older character GIVING xyz also, there's a lot of fluff that can be removed. would much prefer just using the wikipedia definition instead of trying to invert your current one

Uhm, it's like this, as far as I've understood from reading various manga. Mamakatsu/Sugar Mommy - "A", the provider (the mommy) MUST be female. The receiver "B", is EITHER a male OR a female. Age is IRRELEVANT. I have seen loli "mama" support a loli broke ass bitch. I have also seen old woman providing for broke ass shota. Both of the above are in the example mangas I provided above. And they have mamakatsu in the Japanese title. Papakatsu/Sugar Daddy on the other hand - "A", the provider (the daddy), MUST be male. "B", the receiver can be male or female. Age again, irrelevant, though most common occurrences is the "papa" being an ugly bastard with lots of schoolgirls or adult women. From mamakatsu common occurrences, I have seen primarily milf x shota (A x B). I have also seen loli x loli (A x B). That is my current stance and that's what I wrote in the tag description. So what did I get wrong or roles reversed? Feel free to correct me.

I checked some of the definitions and it seems that "mamakatsu" and "papakatsu" aren't about paying a prostitute, rather it's about the character wanting to be financially supported. It also doesn't have to involve prostitution or sexual activity (though in a hentai it's obviously going to, but the idea is that it involves more than that, like the characters going on dates and getting paid just for that). If the description is fixed then I think those tags are a good addition

I would like to invoke simply the existence of the notion of mamakatsu in itself as explanatory enough. If unwanted, sure, people can push this tag request down.

I think the description needs to be a bit more specific. A lot of those examples don't look like "sugar mommy" to me. What's exactly the difference between this and prostitution? What counts as throwing a lot of money? Being paid for sexual actions is the definition of prostitution
