I read through some japanese sources and i have made a mistake in saying "consent" doesn't matter. Reading down @feroxium brings up an important point about "-あせる" verbs being "causative", in simple terms these kind of verbs or action require someone to cause it. So for 寝取らせる the cucked has to get himself cucked.

@fuckriri1234 I agree that there has to be some form of consent, it just doesn't have to be explicit or it can happen later (like the character realizes the fetish only after their partner is raped). I don't mind it if we add consent as part of the description

せ is the causative form of the verb. This means neither the female nor the bull is taking the lead -- The cuck *wants* to share her. Which means a story where she says "You don't get to sleep with me anymore" isn't 寝取らせ, it's 寝取られ NTS is about his desire to watch her fuck another guy, not about a bull stealing her, or her decision to date another guy.

"Masochism" isn't a main trait of netorase, I would even argue the opposite. Just because most content is tagged wrong, doesn't change the meaning. The main trait of NTS is the cuck wanting and enjoying it. Often from compersion ("hotwifing"), loaning her out to another. She might like that too, but she doesn't take the lead. It can of course involve jealousy and some teasing rank play ("I love how big/strong he is"). But the defining difference is that he consents, that she takes his enjoyment into account, and she doesn't threaten the emotional bond they have. @hentau15 cheating is not all sex with someone who's not your partner, cheating is doing that without permission. there are many forms of ethical non-monogamy like swinging, polyamory, or even simply allowing one's partner to be non-monogamous while still remaining monogamous oneself.

I actually agree with @Necrochan. Surprisingly most people are missing the point of netorase. It's about the character enjoying their partner/love interest fucking with someone else, actually enjoying it more than if they were the one having sex. If they just consent then it's much closer to swinging. If there's little or no enjoyment then it's netorare. If the enjoyment fades then I wonder if it should be tagged both "netorare" and "netorase"

Honestly, the whole Netorare genre needs to be broken down into more subgenres. I can already see several different categories inside it. Netorase works typically starts with one of the couple suggesting netorase. Will this also apply when the netorase is an end result of netorare?
