tag nsfl
Tag description Stands for 'Not Safe For Life.' Applies to works containing highly graphic violence, extreme gore, or deeply disturbing themes that may be distressing or psychologically harmful to readers.
note I think this would be useful, especially for blacklisting works depicting some extreme scenarios that might be disturbing to some. yep, it's too broad. coz not all of those tags are necessarily NSFL. not all torture or scat is too disturbing to be classified as NSFL. there are some galleries here that had torture tags but are actually comedy or humorous. then what would happen if you put torture in your blacklist? simple, you would miss out some works that you might actually like.

yeah, there are low variants but not all nsfl tags had that. also there are still some nsfl tags that wasn't here. for example 'gore', while we do have amputee, snuff, guro, etc. here. idk why we dont have that here while on other site they had that. i think 'gore' tag could still have its own use here. like in horror or smth.

for tags that are considered extreme we sometimes have low variants such as "low scat" and "low lolicon", so unless you blacklist those as well you will find works that use very little of those, either in a humorous way or just as a small extra

I think it's just too broad of a tag. If someone dislikes controversial subject matter like "rape, "snuff", or "guro" they likely already have it blacklisted and wouldn't benefit all that much from this tag proposal. @Osamu09 Agreed

it's a tag that can describe many different things, which might indeed be a good thing so that people can easily blacklist a lot of stuff at once without having to blacklist them one at a time whenever they happen to find it. I just have two issues with it. For one, I don't think most people are familiar with "nsfl" and to me not even "not safe for life" has an obvious meaning. The bigger issue I have is that it can be quite subjective. Hentai has a lot of stuff that can be disturbing, and even relatively normal stuff in hentai is depicted in exaggerated ways that shouldn't be replicated in real life. I mean, that's the entire point of hentai, it's not real stuff. So overall I think "nsfl" shouldn't be used to describe the content of any hentai
