I changed idea after all. Just looking at how the "group" tag is used, it makes much more sense to create a new orgy tag. If anything the "group" tag is not needed since it's just a work that has neither "sole male" nor "sole female"

Maybe for cahnging the group tag

To distinguish from the more general "group" tag the definition for orgy should include a minimum number of participants or groups of participants (I'd think at least 5 or more participants or 3 groups ). Does the sex at an orgy need to be consensual or should "gang rape" qualify? Perhaps being decentralized is an intrinsic part of an orgy?

I think both group and orgy would be useful: group for several people having sex with each other, orgy for several people having sex in the same area but not as part of the same group. For example: a couple on one bed, a threesome on another bed, a foursome on the rug.

because harem tag have their definitions to help it have a tag (what i mean by this are the amount of characters engaging in sex and gender ratio), why orgy can't also have a tag?using characters quantity in this case. personally i'm annoyed seeing orgy works being dilluted in group tag, together with threesome and harem which have their own tag

Downvoted in favour of 'group'. Though I wish we had 'orgy' instead, but alas, nothing to do about that.

I agree group covers this. Adding more tags makes it difficult to maintain accuracy.

I think "group" covers enough ground whereas making harem and orgy subsets of group will increasingly split hairs. As few categories as feasible would probably be better for the site.

If group is already a category then why bother?

Maybe an orgy is multiple groups having sex around each other. Like 3 groups of 2 people are having sex but just around other people. Then the group tag is just several people having sex together like a foursome or something.

If group is a general tag then we should reduce it purpose. As orgy means a lustful act of a party. It is totally different from harem + group. Honestly, I don't like the group tag, it potentially overlaps other tags.

Maybe orgy should be used when it involves group sex that is kept secret or hidden, insidious-like in nature. Wiki says orgy involves secret initiations or whatnot.

I think this designation should be specific to multiple pairings (or more in some cases), compared to say gangbang, which has a a singular focus of the group. Just having it be covered by group is a bit too generalized.

To avoid similarity to 'group', maybe name this one 'orgy scene'?

I agree with Rafugapu in that "group" is basically an umbrella term that can describe various scenarios that already have their own dedicated tag. The existence of an umbrella tag should not prevent more explicit sub tags from also existing. (Also agree in that the description of the tag probably needs to be more explicit.)

orgy is pretty popular subtag of "group". Because group mostly starts from 3 persons or 2 partners at maximum. Propably needs to clarify that orgy starts from 8 person who engage in sex. Also group is overlap with bunch of other tags like, ffm, fffm, fmm, harem etc, so it's pretty natural to add tag orgy as another subtag

yeah adding orgy just making "group" tag overlap, except if group or orgy have different meaning?

I think 'Group' already fulfills this
