tag dilf 32.2k tag middle-aged man
note The galleries tagged with dilf does not actually feature DILFs, just any middle-aged man. The best way to solve this is to rename this tag and create a new DILF tag.

    Note
-What you need to know: (1. nHentai imports works from e-Hentai automatically and with it comes e-Hentai tags, already pre-attached. (2. E-Hentai defines their tag 'dilf' as "Any older man who appears to be within the age range of 30-50. Does not need to be a father.". (3. People search for DILFs on nHentai and get UBs or any man because of the inherited flaws from e-Hentai's tagging system. This is a problem. (4. Luckily the solution is simple: Make the name match the description. Done.

@DoujinDelver I would assume all files would be middle aged men, but not vice versa. though to be honest idet we need a replacement dilf tag. attraction is completely subjective, not to mention there's already a [handsome male] and [conventionally attractive] and other proposals

I'm trying to understand the tagging system for a more informed opinion. If Nhentai's "dilf" tag is renamed to "middle-aged man", when a work is imported from e-hentai that contains their "dilf" tag, would NH's "middle-aged man" tag be attached to the doujin instead of "dilf"? If no, then I don't see how this change will solve the problem described in this suggestion. I do agree that there is a problem (mismatch of definitions), just not with the solution. If yes, then I agree with this change, though I am unclear on how creating a new "dilf" tag would interact with this after.

Upvoting, because the new tag name also covers uncle, older cousin, etc. which would be more accurate.

@Osamu: I agree that 35 is the lowest I would consider middle-aged to be. In reality though, the works tagged with this tag (almost) never feature any character under 40 years old, at least that look to be under forty. The galleries in question fits well in the new name ’middle-aged man’, so there’s no issue about that really. (Sidenote: A lot of the galleries feature men well over 50 though. E-Hentai has this tag fucked…)

@hiru yeah, aligns perfectly if you ignore it's 2 completely different samples and the fact they're so far apart. Now, that's real statistics, flat earthers would be proud. Jokes aside, middle-aged is used for people that are half-way through life, so it's based off the average lifespan. Which yeah, can be pretty low in less developed countries, but in the rest of the world it would be at least 70, so you could be considered a middle-aged man at 35 at the earliest, but even then middle-aged is more of a social category that indicates people aged 40-60

@osamu the median age of the world is 31.0, and for men it's 30.3. that sounds pretty middle to me japan actually has one of the highest median ages at 49.9, so that range aligns perfectly with the data
