It's related to domination loss, but it's not quite the same (often times the person is just overconfident at the start, not necessarily dominant), and even if it were, it'd be a very specific type. It even has a Wiktionary page (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/instant_loss_2koma). Airandou is also the main example I would've come up with. Ankoman has a LOT of this. Other examples would be: (e.g. p.6, p.13, p.21, etc.) (across the first two pages. Warning: gore!) (best examples: p. 7, p. 19, p. 29)

mindbreak is also an unwillful transition but it's mental, from hesitancy or non-consent to enthusiasm or craving. it's not about the juxtaposition of panels/scenes but about a mental change that takes place. I don't see it as the broader "I raped her but then she changed her mind and liked it" that's pretty common in hentai, more like the implication that a complete shift in mindset has taken place AGAINST the person's will. It could happen for any number of reasons; it could be aphrodisiac-mediated, trauma-induced, or some guy's dick breaks her brain through sheer size or some unstated quality that melts her into orgasmic goo. that said although I am quite sure about instant loss I'm not really confident about mindbreak. I feel like it's pretty broad and I see people using it in different ways. And sure enough on the page for that tag, people can't agree on what exactly it is, whether it has to be instantaneous or can be gradual etc.

I see instant loss as being about the smash cut from "in a position of power over you, will NOT have sex with you no matter what, so don't bother" to "utterly defeated, having their brains fucked out". The audience is left with a deliberate gap in the story where we can only imagine what the MC must have done to somehow dominate the dominant and turn her into a ball-drainage receptacle

imo "instant loss" is not just an abrupt transition, it's the specific case of a character who is defiant or expresses determination NOT to have sex, smash cut to them having sex. the point is to show they were defeated or overpowered, that's the "loss" part of instant loss. often they're shown in a humiliating position e.g. mating press, or doing some involuntary action like back arching that emphasizes the instant transition from defiant and powerful to utterly defeated. could be arrogant, could be an authority figure, could be your sister. I'm strongly in favour of the tag but the description needs some massaging
