Thought about the problems with the ending some more and I think it boils down to a messy vision for the story that got over ambitious. First 3 parts were a sex fantasy where he basically gets a pseudo harem and no consequences for cheating. But later on it wants to act grounded and have character arcs, but those arcs don't fit well with everything prior cuz it tries to use grounded logical themes and ideas in a previously illogical story. And fumbles even THAT with time travel slop and his weird fantasies.
