I simply said that your understanding of the "Ship of Theseus" pardox is slightly flaws. The pardox itself relies on the fact that you replace an existance, with similar matter, in order to create something virtually indistinguishable from the previous object. Turning a human into an android does not fit this idea. This is not a matter of opinon, belief, or intellgence. This is a matter of definition. Also...you shouldn't insult a person for what you believe they do not know. Especially if you never bothered to explain it in the first place. I would never claim a baby is "retarded" becuase they don't know Quantum Mechanics from the womb, but it seems you would. I don't think that's a good character quaility, if I'm to be honest. By the same logic, you are only about 99.99% of yourself and constantly decaying with every passing second. Do you know how much skin you shed? How many skin cells are being created to renew your body? "You are what you eat." ...no offsense, with your logic, I could argue that your body currently houses a small part of soul the cow that was killed to make the cheese burger you ate recently... That pardox is in relation to "subjectivity" rather than objectively. If you look at the before and after image of a person pre and post android, the difference is obvious. They may be "called" the same person and the same "existence", but they are not the equivalent objectively. Also, you are greatly misusing that pardox. The pardox implies the exact shape the object is perserved and parts of it are only replaced by similar materials...and not replacing flesh with metal.

This is stupid. If you replace the body with a robot, and then replace the mind with an AI copy, you haven't turned someone into a robot. You've just pointlessly murdered a human and built an entirely unrelated robot.
