I mean I get it, there is nothing wholesome about pedophilia. But putting an age limit on what is and isn't wholesome is bizarre.

When we describe things like food or hobbies as "wholesome" it means they're good for your health and wellbeing. IMHO the tag should focus on whether the events are depicted as wholesome, in that sense, for the characters involved. Not on "pure", which is too ambiguous, and not on "optimistic/heartwarming/positive", which is more about the reactions we have to wholesome content than what wholesome content *is*. "Vanilla" is different than "wholesome"; consentacles are frequently quite wholesome but they're sure not vanilla. And arbitrarily deciding that you have to be 17+ for any sexual event to be good for you just doesn't make any sense.

According to this description lolis and shotas being in love with each other is not wholesome. Only adults can be wholesome. My Hero Academia gallery where Deku and Uraraka are dating, not wholesome. Yugi Motou being a good boyfriend to Tea, not wholesome. Madoka and Homura in a loving relationship, not wholesome. By making tag 18+, you are blocking many stories from being marked wholesome simply because the characters are not what you consider an okay age to be in a relationship.

I think a better description would be: "Wholesome (or Vanilla) works are narratives focused on explicitly affectionate and consensual sexual acts between a couple, duo, or more. Defined by the strict absence of non-consensual behavior, psychological suffering, embarrassment, violence, and extreme and/or degrading fetishes." Because there's still the rule in the guildlines of "Keep opinions out of it. Base your proposals on what is actually shown," and... words like 'optimistic,' 'pure,' and 'moving' aren't exactly factual. Two people can disagree on whether to include "loli" or not, but they can both agree that there can't be rape, gore, NTR, and related themes, and those are the points I believe need to be very explicit.

Once you've read Kodomo no Jikan you'll see that things aren't as black and white as you thought it would be. But I digress, this website is not Reddit to debate these kinds of topic over. Your tag description gets thrown out the window though when [kodomo only] gets tagged along with the now available [wholesome] tag.

mate i understand not liking those tags but blacklist them, let other people have wholesome stuff as well. cause if your getting rid of lolicon why not add vore, BDSM, Incest, or the many other things that tend to be kinky not be allowed. i personally would never click on a wholesome vore (makes me feel sick) but for those that want it or lolicon why not let them tag it?
