tag vr
Tag description Virtual Reality. The work incorporates VR technology (VR headsets and/or VR games).
note I believe it would be useful to label manga in which characters use VR headsets and find themselves in various situations because of that. A clear example of such manga includes: 650678, 633816, 609677, 596023, 583070, and others.

I think virtual reality is the better choice for tag (I concur on content and relevance), for the same reason there's a double penetration tag instead of dp.

Here are several options for describing this tag. Works where virtual reality plays a significant role in the plot or scene. Tag for works where virtual reality is a meaningful plot element, including scenes set in VR or situations caused by VR usage. Use this tag when virtual reality is essential to the story, scene, or character interaction. Do not use if VR equipment appears only as background or has no meaningful impact. Virtual reality is central to the scene or story.

What is a tiara? A tiara is primarily a piece of jewellery worn for formal occasions — such as a ball, a wedding, or an official reception. How does that relate to a VR headset or VR games? Take a look at which manga are tagged with this label — they’re all set in medieval times!

- technically, this is augmented reality. Goodness, it’s even reflected in the name — AR, not VR. However, since the AR device in question looks very much like a VR headset, the tag I’m suggesting is appropriate. Did you happen to read the description? It says: Virtual Reality. The work incorporates VR technology (VR headsets and/or VR games). The VR tag should be used if virtual reality (a game or simulation) or a VR device is present in the work and plays a role in the plot. If a VR headset merely appears briefly in the background and doesn’t affect the events in any way, then this tag isn’t suitable.

@K14M, Looking at your examples: - there's vr headset, the user is separate from reality where the virtual world is not part of the story - similar to above - alternate world, through vr headset - similar to above - similar to above The common theme seems to be the existence of the vr equipment but not necessary the virtual world. If it's the "virtual reality" we are talking about, then it is a form of simulation, with or without vr equipments. Or could it be by "vr", you are referring to the usage of hardware? If so, then that's fine as we have https://nhentai.net/tag/tiara/ etc. Take this example, does this count as 'vr' to you? - has vr headset but no virtual world in the story

What is a simulation? Is The Matrix a simulation? Is Sword Art Online a simulation? If events take place exclusively in a virtual world, is that a simulation? Probably. But what if a manga doesn’t explicitly depict a simulation? Suppose it’s only implied that one of the characters is inside a simulation (for example, they’ve put on a helmet), yet all the action unfolds in the real world — the world where the character has put on the helmet and is unaware of what’s happening to their body in the real world. In what way does the “simulation” tag apply here? It seems to me that this tag isn’t quite suitable and isn’t as universal as “VR” (virtual reality). Moreover, “simulation” can refer not just to virtual reality, but also to a physical simulation of something. For instance, a reality show like the one in The Truman Show is also a kind of simulation — but it has nothing to do with VR. I’m not opposed to using the “simulation” tag, but I don’t think it should be used as a substitute

There's a proposal of create tag simulation +5 tag that is a superset to vr. I think that tag works better.
