Exactly that. If a single chapter that was previously a doujinshi was included in a magazine and the magazine is what the gallery is based on, then the gallery is tagged an a manga. If the gallery is a collection from different sources of multiple chapters that were released doujinshi and chapters that were from a magazine then it should be marked as both a doujin and manga.

For works that start as doujinshi, but then got republished commercially (such as in magazine, even without any change) then each version had to be tagged accordingly based on the source.

In that case, they simply have the wrong taxonomy. That's why the tagging system was added. Propose the removal of doujin and propose the adsition of manga, since that would be the correct tag. And just to remind you doujin is explicitly 'self published'.

because there are companies that publish works that are considered doujinshi, hence the creator did not self-publish, the company, publisher, did, plus my main criticism is it not describing what makes this different than the other works on the site. I could be wrong. but when I look at a vast majority of this site there are works that don't fit under self-published works that are labeled as doujinshi such as where this wasn't published by Takatsu, its published in a magazine and in fact nearly none of his works are self-published, neither are most lolicon works as often times those are published in the monthly LO magazine or milfs in the monthly comic MILF magazine that are then taken and labeled as doujinshi. ex literally a published magazine labeled doujinshi Again i could be wrong but i just notice a lot of works not considered this in this category hence why i stated that they arent all self-published.

A 'self published work' is a self published work that is self published by an individual or group that self published the work. It may not be self published. How can a self published work not be self published?

fine but not all doujinshi are self-published is all. Plus, it doesn't describe what makes a thing a doujinshi vs anything else on this site. so personally no
