Tag description A scene where a character explicitly communicates their romantic feelings to another, whether face-to-face, via a love letter, text, etc., with the specific intent of initiating a romantic relationship or asking them to become a couple.
note We have plenty of tags for relationship aftermaths, but completely lack one for the milestone where romance officially begins. "Love confession" clearly separates this from religious or church confessions, making it easy to find this classic, high-tension turning point, whether it is for pure wholesome fluff or the calm before a dramatic plot twist.
