tag spreadsheets
Tag description Works whose main plot directly or indirectly involves spreadsheets.
note It's not a legitimate tag, you can downvote it all you want, but I don't have an ideal place to show this. I made a spreadsheet with all the tags to delete or that were poorly defined between A and B, and numbers too, so the admins don't have to waste time looking at each one and seeing which ones are correct or not. I intend to update it to other letters. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kFPLBYHnG30wXLkdhXnLznxoO41lqzuTpbMR2ls8deU/edit?gid=0#gid=0

UPDATE: I’ve added links to the tag names up to the letter K, and I think I managed to filter out all the valid tags from the invalid ones I had copy-pasted; the count has dropped from 4,000 to 3,000. I believe the list is complete in terms of names of incorrect tags, but I’d still prefer to review them one by one to see if any need to be deleted, merged with another tag, or created in the correct category.

UPDATE: I’ve finished a preliminary review of all tags in the letter I Please, if you see this, show your support by upvoting. This is really time-consuming, and I can only work on it on weekends. Maybe someday we'll manage to clean up all the useless tags.

UPDATE: 4,116 tags has been added to the spreadsheet for review. I stopped including the links because I realized it was pointless and time-consuming. Now, all tags are categorized from A to Z (this number might decrease, though; to speed things up, I stopped checking them one by one and added them in bulk—so if there’s a legitimate tag in the mix, I’ll just remove it). It’s going to take months, but I’ll manage to list all the useless tags.

This is very impressive, both in the work you're putting in, and how your first comment proves the truth of Rule 34.

UPDATE: I’ve finished a preliminary review of all 993 tags between the letters C and I to separate the ones that need extra attention (e.g., titles of works, obscure artists, names appearing on multiple labels, etc.). It’s a long, grueling task—I still have everything from I to Z left to do—but I’ve already made significant progress. I want to make a point of reviewing tag by tag to avoid errors (even though it's impossible to guarantee).

UPDATE: I've added tags up to the letter G and parts of the letter I (Google's limit was 1,000), now I'll finish filling in the data about them. I'm actively working on this, I just don't know if I'll be active enough to engage with every damn proposal. Please don't forget about me.

idk i'm just a regular user trying to help clean up the mess. But technically, it would just be a matter of implementing standard boolean logic. Like a simple database command "SELECT * FROM database WHERE tag = 'A' OR tag = 'B'". Or just letting us use a pipe symbol in the search bar like tag:A | tag:B, something i've done in discord bots once
