I have the same perspective as @swiftyooh. Description of tags should serve as way for uninformed people to understand and have a better masturbating experience. Also, I have an issue with your shorter description. "Anthropomorphized" means animal given human characteristics while the uma in umamusume are humans that are given some racehorse characteristics like ears, tails, personality, and names. To put it simply, your description describes Umas as if they are a furry rather than leaning more towards human. I might be overreacting so let me know if you have any issues with my take!
tl:dr; The description I made (with AI) contained on my first comment on this thread is pretty okay for a replacement. Just feels a bit too long. Could be shortened to just: "A Japanese multimedia franchise by Cygames featuring anthropomorphized racehorses called 'Umamusume'"
@swiftyooh yea sorry also, we all good. My intent with that wasn't to be unserious but rather to put something niche and "slogan"-like that its actual fans would understand. Aka a tag that serves its fans. Instead of a description that serve tourists.
Say for example theres a "starwars" tag. Rather than defining its origin and charactericts, I would say the tag: "May the force be with you", is a thousand times better. I don't think its "unserious", its just "not descriptive" for "tourists" and maybe people with alzheimers who forgot.
There's a certain art in giving human titles to things. And I think if were just making a boring dictionary for all of these tags, its 1000x better to just AI all of it and get us, the users, to vote for the descriptions for accuracy checking. Just saying. Though maybe that's over the site admin's paycheck.
Ultimately, if the admins wants the dictionary, then theres nothing else for me to do. That's fine, i don't own the site anyway.
@SayonarAhhn I apologize for being rude on my original comment but your description is still too unserious. And yes the intent with describing tags, parodies, artists, etc. was meant to be taken seriously. Also i’m not a larper. Been a fan since late 2018 when r-18 works of uma musume was pretty much non existent. P.S. Yea most people who goon to uma doujins are larpers and tourists but i’m not one of them.
@swiftyooh only the real ones know...
but honestly, this was before i realized that these descriptions are supposed to be unfunny wikipedia documentation type nerd crap. apparently, people need "appropriate" descriptions to goon properly... did you want something like "A Japanese multimedia franchise by Cygames featuring anthropomorphized racehorses called 'Umamusume' who train, race, and perform as idols while drawing inspiration from real-life Japanese racehorses and their histories."? Is that good enough for larper tourists and internet minors that haven't experienced it yet? Consumes the actual media: 1%, Goons to the characters: 99%?
tl;dr - id change it but its not my fault they added a community-based tag description system WITHOUT the feature to edit the already made descriptions.
P.S. larp harder 🤟🔮🤟 🐎🐎🐎
