Jk75, the goal with this tag is simply that replacement as exposed, not replace "rough translation", that I just mentioned as always complementary to shitty AI translations for obvious reasons. As MR0n_Herb3rt_59 said, it's not even midly hard to identify AI translation: Gross grammar errors, horrible syntax, unintelligible phrasing and a very long ect.
Readers must be warned about it. Especially those to like to read text beside seeing images, because to them, a bad translation can be quite a turn off nevertheless the art quality.
I think the clarify works here. Even with MTL, there is somehow more human input in constructing a semi-coherent sentence likely because they have to read and paste everything themselves, if they care. The AI shitlickers usually leave that tell in the dialogue as-is, and has a trll that is different from MTL. Yes, both are dogshit, especially when the "translator" doesn't even try, but AI is clearly chihuahua scald the earth type dogshiy compared to MTL.
what's the goal of this tag? I would use 'rough translation' to filter out works not fun to read.
But 'machine translation' nor 'ai transaction' implied that. And with the improvements of AI translation, how do you identify them?
Sadly AI translation is becoming quite common, being a lazy alternative to spit translations (and quite bad quality ones tbh), that's why usually there is "rough translation" tag always with this one.
@Vlaew I'm pretty sure that's not what machine was ever supposed to mean. The tag refers to just the actual translation. I don't even know how common official translations are for hentai
If you want to be picky, "machine" can be just ms-word or photoshop translated. This is a clarification. A tag must have maximum clarity in my opinion.
