@Swiftyooh: I can definitely see that happening! But I am not convinced I would call that aftercare, even if it’s just hentai, I am more inclined to just call it manipulation… But I am ready and willing to be persuaded! Do you have some examples?

@Aelter I've seen some doujins where it's used a a grooming tactic in NTR/BSS scenarios or in a cheating scenario that displays the cheating person's betrayal. Some artist use it in non wholesome doujins for shock value from what i've seen. Just wanted to clarify what I posted earlier.

Women's Health magazine has a great article titled "Your Guide To BDSM Aftercare, According To A Sex Therapist", which I highly recommend to everyone interested in having sex. A final quote, from Dr. Elisabeth Sheff in WebMD: "Partners having BDSM sex often practice what's known as aftercare. It may include cuddling, hydrating, bathing together, or another calming activity. It may also include a discussion about what worked, what didn't, and how each partner is feeling. It's important during aftercare that you come out of the role you were playing so everyone is on equal footing."

Mentioned acts that I agree can fit into 'aftercare': Caring for partner post-coitus, cuddles, bringing water, kissing into sleeping, asking eachother about the sex, resting together, cleaning up, hugging, pillow talk Mentioned acts, but I disagree, they shouldn't be considered when tagging: Emotional betrayal, taking responsibility, staying together as a couple, becoming FWB Acts not mentioned that I consider to fit within 'aftercare': Helping other out of subspace or other headspace, reaffirming eachother's worth, grounding in to reality, headpats, keep lying down in eachother's arms, checking in, covering other's needs, physical affirmation, calm acts of kindness

I agree with @aaa1e2r3 and @unLOadd It should also include pillow talk, cuddling, taking responsibility, continuation of the relationship, or staying together and becoming a couple or friends with benefits after random sex/hookup/fling.

I dont really think the amount of people that would want something this specific or the works that focus on that (what would even be the threshold for it? One panel? One page?) warrants the creation of this tag.

I’d love to see this tag happen, but only if the concept is shown to be something eromanga does explore.

guys. I've looked at every example you sent, and there was no basis for an "aftercare" tag. The most that happened was the characters hugging for 1 page after having sex. At this point even 1 good example wouldn't be enough reason to add it As of now this should just be rejected To be clear this is what aftercare should be about. Asking your partner more than just 1 questions (even better if it's a proper discussion); resting together (even better if it's not just sleeping together, but actually taking a break from sex); cleaning (I'm gonna be shocked if anyone can actually find this specific one); showing affections through hugging etc. (this should be the easiest, but it needs to be more than 1 page)

For me aftetcare souds like "taking responsibility", some kind of "continuation of the relationship" or "staing together after random sex". This kind of ending you can find more often.

I would add after sex conversations as a part of the description.

Unfortunately this is not always used in wholesome doujins :( I’ve seen it quite a bit in NTR/cheating ones too. It’s often used as imagery for emotional betrayal in those types of doujins.

The burden of proof is on the OP if you're looking for an example. Not everyone else has the luxury of time or motivation to look for examples especially as vague as this entry (prove me wrong otherwise by posting examples). :p
