The Tagger is correct. for the most part vanilla just woks as a tag to avoid the dark ones like NTR, Mindbreak, Rape, etc. they can involve anything from wholesome to simple emotionless story

@akashako p sure vanilla refers to the entire story, not just one of the sex scenes, though. The first sex scene of Metamorphosis might be vanilla by your definition, but if that gallery was tagged with it, hell would be raised.

"Vanilla" and "wholesome" are disjoint sets. Consenting sex between a human and a tentacle beast might be very wholesome, but it's not vanilla.
