@40-sai archwizard it's one sentence and it's straight to the point, how is that overcomplicated lol Anyway, even if a monster is a character on a technical level, personally I think it warrants differentiating here because just "other male characters" would normally read as there being *some* level of kinship between the involved parties... But like. Mods are free to just scrap that part if they wanna. Idc that much

Post your description suggestions so we can move on to the other pending 1000+ tag suggestions. @omnigoon I can take out the second sentence and the description will still work. @yyyk Characters and species are interchangeable imo. Mods tend to accept the simplest and most straightforward terms no there's no need to overcomplicate the description.

What @omnigoon said 👇 Boy's love is a much broader term for gay romance -- and while sometimes there ARE non-erotic books that end up getting uploaded here, those are outliers. "Male characters engaging in sexual activities with other male characters or otherwise male-presenting species." would be my best take on a short but accurate description for this; "male-presenting species" added bc there is quite a fair share of tentacles fucking guys up the butt (or things of a similar fashion) that should probably go under this tag considering both the public that would search for that, and those who'd want it blacklisted

@40-sai archwizard "Boys' love"/"shounen-ai" can be interchaneable with "yaoi" depending on the context but since the tag seems to be used only for male gay sex i don't think it needs the romantic descriptor in this case, might warrant another tag though.

the real issue is the lack of gendering of other tags. -male:anal -female:anal -male:blowjob -female:blowjob would allow tags to be used without needing to add on "+yaoi" to any tag search and would just be more useful.

I don't think this captures how this tag is actually used here. Two (very) femboys fuck each other just in one panel in a hetero manga can make this tag tagged. I think something like "Gay content (contain two male characters fuck with each other)" is better as started by common term first so most people can understand immediately, then a specific explanation how it's used so they wouldn't be surprised if clicking on some albums shows hetero sex first. What I think is important are: 1. using "male character" instead of "men" or "boy" as they can be extremely feminine or masculine and also possible from young to old as well 2. using words that can describe the possibility of non-gay-focused contents using this tag 3. using words match with the boundary this tag started to appear (For example, showing sex scene without kissing is enough for this tag, so "kissing and fucking" isn't that accurate.) With these, the description could be more than just a decoration.
