I don't think we need this, we just need to dial in the discussion on asphyxiation. RE: @akashako: asphyxiation covers all kinds of 'choking' from airway blockage to reducing blood flow to the brain at any of those points. Building on @Osamu09's comment, underwater sex where a character is drowning would still be asphyxiation. It covers it. @PizzaPalooza: Are we really just asking for a 'drowning' tag? Like what is it specifically we want here? I've just yet to see any convincing comment that this tag is needed to distinguish something. OP's note is not insightful as to why it should exist. Do not forget that 'snuff' and 'passed out' tags exist.

Choking and strangling are two different things. Strangling causes choking. Choking is when your have your airways blocked by something.

@PizzaPalooza I've checked the latest 6 works with asphyxiation, all from different artists, and surprisingly one of them didn't include choking, but I still think it was just a coincidence and the numbers are much lower than 1:6. And as a matter of fact that work had the "underwater sex" (which are like 68 works in total). What I wanted to say is that Asphyxiation that doesn't include choking is the exception, not the rule

@Osamu09 Choking is a much more specific type. Axphyxiation could also happen in an underwater sex or really big dick deepthroat work.
