tag collection
Tag description multiple stories/doujins in one post by the same or different artists, typically have 100+ pages, but can have less ofc.
staff Not seeing a good argument for how this differs from compilation

just to clarify, how is it different from compilation? because as for me, it sounds the same based on the description alone

All of the existing tags seem too precise, vague, or straight-up confusing to navigate when the concept that people want to encapsulate is generally reducible to "collection." Story Arc as a positive (or negative) tag does tend to solve for this somewhat, though.

*artbook can be self published or through a 3rd party but seems to require being physically published as far as I can tell

I made a Google Sheets around nHentai meta tags, i.e. tags pertaining topics like language, format, censorship, text, etc.. I'll link it when it is more fleshed out, if the admins are okay with it.

@Akashako: I agree! I would do a whole revamp, maybe I'll write about it later. The tags I've marked with [category] are the ones that are placed after "Categories:" on the gallery page. On your recent link the category tag is 'doujinshi'. There are also parody, artist, group, and language tags. There are three categories and they are 'doujinshi' (490k galleries), 'manga' (130k), and 'misc' (2). A gallery can only have a single category. Tangent: "Multiwork series" as a name AND concept is confusing af. I hate it.

It's not multi work series. "multiwork series" is for when a gallery is a complete work, but is part of a story in a larger, longer series. # should be tagged as "multiwork series" since it's only one chapter of a series that came out in multiple parts. However, you should not confuse "multiwork series" for "incomplete". "incomplete" is for when a gallery is missing pages or images of a complete work. For example, if the work was 40 pages long, but the gallery is missing pages 20 to 35, it would be marked as "incomplete". I think collection would be for galleries that take all the parts from a work and put them all into one gallery. But that's just one example.

Aelter some of those should be tags and some release types. Tags: AI generated Anthology Compilation Incomplete Non-h Animated Out of order Can you explain what the category tags are?

I feel like this is already encapsulated by the "Anthology" and "Tankoubon" tags. The former of which describes a thematically-similar collection of works by various authors, and the latter of which describes a published volume/compilation of a single artist's works.

The "release type"-tags are a mess. They do not properly sort releases into separate categories, they all need descriptions, some of them are misspelt, some include loads of works that do not fit the tag, some are duplicates, some are redundant. They need a big cleanup. As a sorting maniac, I volunteer. Tags affected: - ai generated - anthology - artbook - artistcg - comic - compilation - doujinshi - doujinshi [category] - gamecg - game manual - image set - incomplete - manga [category] - manga - misc - misc [category] - multi-work series - non-h - non-h imageset - non-h game manual - oneshot - screenshots - soushuuhen - story arc - tankoubon - tankouyon - variant set - webtoon - western cg - western non-h - western imageset

for multiple stories/doujins exists "anthology" tag For single big volume there's a "tankoubon", and "soushuuhen" for complitation of tankoubons from same artists.
