Sure you got my vote, though I wouldn't consider Syunichi's and Shayo's men "Ikemen" when they don't even have faces (hot bodies though, but not a face?) Can't qualify for "Ikemen" in my book if not face to look at but a shadow. No facial expressions? Just hot body? Mmm, Umekoppe's are fine as hell – they're ikemen a'right

Yeah this tag is fine, since even if we have "Generic self insert" or "Mob" looking MMCs or MLs. It could still be differentiate on how they're handle or presented. if I were to give an example... I guess ? Maybe something like , , , or... ? Honestly my examples might be literal ass. Although my point is, it's to kinda differentiate with the Josei tag. Because you have those overly handsome man you'd see in Josei, then you have the normals. So this could be like a in-between. But that's just my opinion, usually if we're considering the word so not only handsome but cool looking men could fit in too I guess.

While Ikemen would be used, for example, for the male protagonists of Umekoppe, who are all attractive young men.

Maybe already "dilf" tag exists, so just need to separate dilf doujins with ugly bastard + need to avoid terms like "good-looking", because it's subjective.

Look, I created this tag for a different reason. It's not to avoid finding hentai with ugly guys, but rather to actually find more hentai of handsome men having sex with beautiful women. Also, I think josei and ikemen show different results when you start searching.

I don't disagree, but someone else suggested the "josei" tag and I feel like that would be enough. After all beauty is subjective so it would be hard to choose where to apply the tag. The good news is that they have added "ugly bastard" as an official tag, so that already solved the issue
