bondage is often a part of bdsm, but not strictly required (as this suggestion implies). Aelter's description is more accurate imo

Shouldn't this be merged with bondage? Bondage implies a sub and dom, no?

Aelter is a lot more accurate with his description.

My suggestion:
"BDSM refers to Bondage, Domination/submission, and Sado-Masochism; it's about power dynamics and the tools used for it. Works may feature content such as whips, kinky black leather-wear, blindfolds, being tied to a leash and walking on all fours, mouthgags, choking, shibari, and/or similar concepts.
