at any rate, for the tag description i would say that rather than the "physical release being interrupted or incomplete," it should be that the physical *stimulation* is interrupted. the "physical release" is largely unaffected in terms of completeness.

as far as i'm aware, it's not that a ruined orgasm couldn't be reached via alternative stimulation, it's more that i haven't seen anyone depict these practices and then finish the act with a ruined orgasm.

@fuckriri1234 i'm not too familiar with mesuiki myself, but when i look it up i see two definitions, being a prostate orgasm and a "dry orgasm." the dry orgasm sounds like an inversion of the concept of a ruined orgasm; whereas a ruined orgasm is a diminished orgasm with a largely unaffected volume of semen released, mesuiki is a kind of orgasm without an ejaculation. i haven't experienced a dry orgasm as far as i can recall, so i can't compare the experience to what a ruined orgasm feels like. you might find this kind of thing resulting from, like, nipple play or stuff like that, maybe? as for the prostate orgasm, i'm not into butt stuff so i haven't touched that either. the short version of it, i think, is that both the male and female body have multiple erogenous zones, and you can "train" yourself to cum with them. i think these are kind of separate from ruined orgasms in most cases, because usually ruined orgasms are reached through conventional stimulation.

@Jackass99 got it thanks for the explanation. don't think i'll try it, that just sounds painful lol so ruined orgasm is the bridge between orgasm denial / edging (no ejaculation) and full-blown ejaculation? How is this different from mesuiki, if you don't mind?

if you still don't understand from my elaboration on these terms, you could try and experience a ruined orgasm yourself. if you know what edging/"the edge" is, you're pretty much gonna edge, keep going a little bit until you can't hold the orgasm back, then stop touching yourself. you should try to relax the relevant muscles at this point. i'm not trying to give out all kinds of joi so that's about all from me, if you try it i hope you realize how this is different, otherwise peace i guess

@fuckriri1234: no, it's not orgasm denial. orgasm denial is when there is no orgasm. generally orgasm denial involves edging or things like chastity cages and occurs in sub+dom-type scenarios; the "denial" comes from the orgasm being out of the recipient's control. a ruined orgasm, however, occurs when a person is brought to orgasm, but the stimulation is halted, which results in a phenomenon that differs from both a regular orgasm and orgasm denial. generally a ruined orgasm results in a steady, low-energy flow of semen as opposed to an ordinary male ejaculation. another difference between a ruined orgasm and a regular orgasm is that a ruined orgasm has a smaller (sometimes effectively nonexistent) refractory period, which is the time after orgasm wherein the person cannot reach orgasm again. there are differences in the sensation as well, but that's going to vary person by person.

that's... that's just orgasm denial though? why does this exist? in its most literal sense, orgasm denial can be present in solo works, non-humiliation, etc.
